Weymouth Beach Kite Festival
2011 Festival will take place on Saturday 30th April, Sunday 1st and Monday 2nd May.
Held over the May Bank Holiday weekend the Annual International Kite Festival on Weymouth Beach attract over 40,000 visitors to Weymouth Esplanade to watch the impressive kite flyers not only from Britain, but the United States of America, Germany and Spain.
Weymouth's famous golden sands and magnificent Georgian seafront hosted a three day Festival of aerial acrobats and colour, giant sky sculptures, stunt kites, fighting kites, childrens workshops, trade stalls and much more.
Saturday is a Casual Kite Flying Day with all beach arenas open from 10 am to 5 pm.
On Sunday and Monday - A full programme of displays and competitions take place in all arenas from 10 am to 5 pm.
In addition, don't miss the night kite flying and international firework display (9.30 pm) on Sunday 1st May.
