Throughout the year, there are many festivals and events in Weymouth & Portland to celebrate the rich diversity of fine local produce and also experience the different flavours, styles and ingredients from around the world. From seafood to continental markets and real ales to Greek wines, there is something to suit all tastes.
There is a monthly Farmers’ Market in Weymouth held all year round. This is situated on Westham Bridge in the town centre from 10am until 3pm on the second Sunday of every month.
This year the Dorset Seafood festival in July visit the Seafood Festival on the harbourside in Weymouth. This is a fun-filled festival with live music, cooking demonstrations, displays and of course lots and lots of fresh seafood!
In October is the annual county wide celebration of the best of Dorset’s produce in the form of Dorset Food Week. This week long event will include plenty of activities and events for everyone including picnics, walks, talks, markets, tastings and exhibitions all around the county.
