Weymouth Seafront Land Train

Relax and enjoy the panoramic ride along the Weymouth Esplanade from the Beach Office, situated adjacent to the Town Centre to Lodmoor via Greenhill.

This popular services operates daily between 31st March to 31st October from 10am (weather permitting). Suitable for all the family and includes facilities for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
The times are displayed at either end of the route on the information boards and are updated throughout the day. The land train does not run to a strict timetable and is dependant on factors including the weather which can result in the delay or not running of the train at all.
The route is approximately 1 mile along the promenade linking the Town Centre with the Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park and Lodmoor Country Park (350 acre park which incorporates a nature reserve, family attractions, public toilets and a green gym). It takes approximately 10-15 minutes to travel along the route however this can also vary. Along the route are two request stops, one at the Pier Bandstand and the other at the entrance of the Greenhill Gardens, each is clearly marked with a request stop sign. From the 22nd June, the route will be extended to link to the new Weymouth Sea Life Tower, an observation Tower with stunning views of the Jurassic coastline, Weymouth Bay, Chesil Beach and Portland.
The train has a capacity of 18 adults or 24 children per carriage, this provides a total capacity of 52 adults allowing for the wheelchair ramp on the last carriage.
