Weymouth Angling Society Festival

Since it’s inauguration in 1900, The Weymouth Angling Society has endeavoured to bring about and facilitate a high standard of fishing and fishing competitions.

With Weymouth’s unique natural surroundings, which include, Chesil Beach, Portland Harbour, Portland Harbour Breakwater (this of course being man made.), Weymouth Beach, The Stone Pier, The Pleasure Pier, (these also being engineered and man made to aid safe berthing and protection of shipping and small boats.), Weymouth Inner and Outer Harbour, bring about a utopia of fine fishing facilities.

Just add to these the prime fishing marks on The Isle of Portland including Portland Bill, Red Crane, Cheyne, Church Ope Cove, Chesil Cove as well as a multitude of cliff and rock fishing points make the area one of the finest in the U.K., especially for the species hunters.
