Activities in Weymouth and Portland
Whether you’re into climbing or windsurfing, kite surfing or water skiing, for a real adrenaline rush Weymouth and Portland has some of the greatest activities on offer.  The waters provide the perfect setting for sailing, angling and diving – a real chance to find your sea-legs.  As the host venue for the sailing events for the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games we are certainly geared up to suit all expectations.

There are also plenty of activities for the land-lubbers out there too. Why not try rock-climbing, paragliding, hiking, cycling or pony trekking.  The countryside and cliffs of the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline provide the ideal locations for these and many more activities.

For those seeking a more relaxing activity experience, why not explore some of the disused quarries on the Isle of Portland. They are rich in history, provide an insight into the areas archaeology and can reveal many interesting finds including fossils. You can take a leisurely boat ride along part of the world famous 95 mile stretch of Jurassic Coast, or explore the history and heritage of Portland Harbour.

Alternatively the area offers some breathtaking scenery and unique wildlife which can be enjoyed by taking a leisurely stroll or a long hike along the coastline.
