This camera views Weymouth Town Bridge
from the back water (inner harbour) looking out towards the sea. The Bridge
joins the parish of Melcombe Regis with the parish of Weymouth and the view is
from the Melcombe Regis side of the Bridge.

From this camera you get an excellent
view of the Georgian harbour (circa 1805). The harbour is still a commercial
port with a regular ferry to the Channel Islands. Among the many industries
supported by the harbour are boating excursions for fishing, diving, or just a
day cruise to view the magnificent Jurassic coast. Weymouth harbour is also a
popular place for visiting sailors.

This web camera is situated in the Heights Hotel overlooking the magnificent Chesil Beach. The Highest point on Portland is 140 metres above sea–level. From the Heights Hotel there are magnificent views of the Jurassic Coast.
This camera is hosted and maintained by the Heights Hotel, Portland in
partnership with Weymouth and Portland Borough Council. Please note that
although this camera is transmitting live images, at certain times due to
bandwidth constraints the images are sometimes delayed by a couple of minutes
whilst they are copied to the webserver. This can result in previous images
being displayed.
