Welcome to Weymouth Harbour

Don't miss...

Situated at the heart of the Town is the vibrant, traditional Old Harbour, offering plenty to see and do at any time of the day and year.  Weymouth provides an ideal location for South Coast cruising holidays or as a stopover in preparation for a channel crossing to Northern France or the Channel Islands.  Weymouth boasts one of the shortest passages across the channel and there is no better way to experience the wonders of the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline than by sea.  The sailing waters have gained world status as not only an excellent training venue but have now been selected to host the sailing and windsurfing events for the 2012 Games.

The Harbour entrance is easily accessible, with the absence of strong tidal currents within 2 miles of the shore.  Visiting craft are well catered for with excellent amenities available.  Most visitors’ berths have gangway access, power and water.  Toilets, showers and laundry facilities are situated within the harbour office building and there are several marine support services including chandleries, sailmakers and fuelling within easy reach.  Weymouth Harbour can easily cater for large groups of visiting vessels so if you belong to an owners club or hold annual rallies then Weymouth is an excellent location.

Sited around the harbour are several restaurants, bars and cafes – many alfresco - offering a wide variety of menu choices from traditional fish and chips to fine dining experiences.  Other things to see and do include watching the historic Town Bridge lift, visiting various harbourside attractions or take a ride on one of the local boating tour facilities.  Festivals and events take place throughout the year both in around the harbour – even on Christmas day.
