How the Group works
• We act as a point of contact for anyone organising an event to which
the public are invited
• Members of the SAG provide advice and guidance
on their specific areas of responsibility to the Event Organiser and other
agencies involved
• If necessary members of the SAG will meet with the
Organiser to provide advice and guidance
• The chair of the SAG keeps
written records of meetings and ensures actions arising are clearly
documented
• In some circumstances some members of the SAG will monitor
and review events to ensure standards are maintained.
If you intend to hold a Festival or Event you should contact the SAG well in advance of your intended activity date. For example a large scale event can, depending on its complexity, take up to 12 months from planning to the delivery stage.
Please note that the SAG is not responsible for gaining land owners consent as to the use of land or granting licences for event.
